Festina Lente 

Latin for “make haste slowly”

Though it was an ancient Greek axiom, St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe adopted this motto for himself and his friars. This maxim stresses the importance of quieting one’s self in order to properly plan and take thoughtful, intentional action.

It seemed appropriate to craft a bookmark with Kolbe’s motto to inspire each of us to utilize our gift of intellect to seek all that is good, true, and beautiful.
